This is the trailer from Beauty in Focus. It is a full length documentary for MTS Stories From Home showcasing Breast Cancer Photography, which my team shot, edited and produced in its entirety.
Beauty in Focus was part of the 2016 Gimli Film Festival. It was nominated in the cinematography category at the Winnipeg Film Group’s 2017 Windy awards. And, it won a cinematography award at last year’s Emerge Film Festival 2017 in Toronto.
Here is a sampling of some of the news stories that I did for RRCTV’s news broadcast which aired on Shaw television. (The footage has been down sampled for broadcast and as such has been degraded in the process. The original footage was much crisper.)
- The first features a family of 10 orphans who are experiencing some Canadian culture for the first time. (00:00- 01:20)
- The second is a Guinness record attempt for the most snow angels by the Canadian Ski Patrol and a story from an injured boy. (1:20- 02:47)
- And finally, there is a story about local family experiencing hockey culture as a giant hockey goal light made its way through Winnipeg on its way to the north pole. (2:47-04:04)
This next example was created for a local art business called Yellow Door Garden Art. It showcases the creation a piece of art from start to finish.
I used a mixture of timelapse and long exposure photography to create these videos featuring the Red River Ex, and the 2015 Fifa Women’s World Cup.
I wrote, performed and recorded my own original music for these timelapse videos.
These final two mini movies, I shot just for fun. They give you an idea of some of the things I do in my spare time.
