I had a lot of different duties in my position as a Digital Marketing Specialist, including Digital Marketing, Social Media Management, Pre Production, Post Production, Graphic Design, Promotions Coordination, Event Coordination, Copywriting, Headshots, Production and Social Media Photography, as well as Maintaining and Curating the in-store digital display network.
Many of my duties ran in complement to each other for a variety of traditional and digital communications initiatives. I’ve listed just some of the more fun, visual examples below, I hope you enjoy!
We had quite a few partnerships with the sports franchises and media outlets in Winnipeg, such as the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, the Manitoba Moose, and the Bell Media Stations including CTV, Virgin 103.1, 99.9 BOB FM, and TSN 1290, which we partnered with for the Winnipeg Jets 2018 Playoff Run with the infamous WPG Whiteout. (I feel very blessed to have been able to be apart of that promotion in particular, it was very special)
Bell Media gave away tickets to every Winnipeg Jet’s playoff home game from a different Red River Co-op location on the morning of each game. Here are some of the photos I took at each location which I then used for social media and digital marketing purposes.
Stop #1: Southdale
Stop #2: Charleswood
Stop #3: St. Vital
Stop #4: St. Norbert
Stop #5: Grant Park
Stop #6: North Main
Stop #7: Southdale 2
Stop #8: North Main 2
Stop #9: Mcphillips
Here are pics from the launch of our Blue Bombers Partnership including an exclusive co-branded collectors player cup set.
I’ve also included a small sampling of the marketing materials I put together for our co-branded Bombers promotion. I repurposed this creative for a variety of traditional, digital and social media marketing purposes.

Here are a few pics of the pieces of POP that I put together to complement the collectors cups and tie them together with our co-branded slush flavour we launched as part of the promotion as well.
Here’s the Selkirk Grand Opening with Drake Nevis from the Blue Bombers.
Here is the Manitoba Moose Autism Awareness game we sponsored, including being able to send a couple lucky families who won passes through our social media contest. (I also included a pic I was able to catch of the rink graphics I designed for that game.)
Here is some photos from one of our booths in the Bombers Tailgate Zone that I managed. (I also included a pic of the graphics I designed for the digital boards on the sidelines at the Investor’s Group Field)
Here is some photos from our sponsorship to the Cerebral Palsy Association of Manitoba which allowed one of their gold metal winning wheelchair basketball athletes, Josh Brown, to receive a properly fitted chair. (Josh explains the many features which will help keep him upright and propel him and his coach on their way to their ultimate goal, The Special Olympics.)
We also had a pit stop as part of Bike To Work Day 2018. Where we provided hydration, healthy local snacks and encouragement to the wonderful Winnipeggers who participated.
Here is the launch of the new Health & Wellness Section at Red River Co-op. (I designed the concept and creative pieces to populate and promote this new section.)
I also learned a variety of new production skills in my time at Red River Co-op, including how to take corporate headshots and production photography that can be used in designing creative pieces.
Here is an example of one of the photos I produced of the new Health & Wellness advisor and then used to create the marketing materials shown below and for the launch of the Health and Wellness Section.
Here is a direct mail piece/ bag stuffer.
Here is an external A frame Sign, an internal Ironman Sign, and a modifiable Aisle Disruptor which acted like a whiteboard, so the advisor could use a dry erase marker to list her weekly hours.
Here are some Instagram, Twitter and Facebook advertisements / cover pages.
Here are some Winnipeg Free Press advertisements.
Below is a digital screen for the internal digital screen network.
Here is a set of internal signage I created for the renovation of our Grant Park Food Store. I shot all the production photography and wrote all the captions. (I’m sorry for the poor quality of these photos, I only had these few pics I’d shot quickly for a personal Instagram story)
Here’s a couple pieces of creative I put together for a follow us campaign to promote our social media channels. Below is a physical poster for events and instore display, as well as a digital banner for eblasts, and inclusions in online advertising and Winnipeg Free Press print advertisements.

A Gimli Filmfest sponsorship advertisement.
Here is just a small sample of some of the creative I put together for the weekly Winnipeg Free Press spread.

I was responsible for creating promoted posts and digital advertising campaigns using Facebook/Instagram and Twitter’s Ad Manager Dashboards, as well as Google Ads formally known as Google Adwords. (Sample not reflective of actual work due to privacy)
I was also responsible for monitoring, and curating all of Red River Co-op’s social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, as well as update the website.
This is just a sampling of my communications duties at Red River Co-op.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
